1 All raw materials comply with the food contact requirements of the EU and USA FDA legislation. Sulapac Universal and Universal Flex 30 materials meet the EU and US FDA requirements for food contact materials in the described specifications for use and with the specified restrictions. 2 Food contact for repeated use, according to the EU Food contact materials framework regulation (EU) No 10/2011. Compliant for short term use in 2h 158°F/70ºC, also fulfills 15 minutes 212°F/100ºC. Dishwashability tested according to EN 12875. In addition, the functionality after dishwashing tested. In eating tests no differences in functionality and no effect on heat properties. Tests were conducted by third party laboratories/customers. 3 Our wood is a by-product of industrial side streams, and it originates from sustainably managed forests. We always follow our strict Policy for Sustainable Sourcing. 4 Sulapac materials within the same families of recipes show biodegradation of 58-74 % into CO2, water and biomass at 462 days in the marine environment (ASTM D6691(86ºF/30ºC) and of 28%-70% at 153 days when tested according to ASTM 5511 (99ºF/37ºC) accelerated biodegradation in the landfill. 5 The materials have been tested at third party laboratory and/or industrial composting facility and shown to meet the requirements of EN13432 and ASTMD6400 for industrial compostability. Always check local recycling instructions, as the systems vary regionally.
