YOM Beauty Launches the World’s First LipSafe™ Lip Product — Sealed with Sulapac

A pioneering beauty brand YOM Beauty has chosen Sulapac for the lid of “The Pebble”, their beautifully designed lip product packaging inspired by Irish wishing stones. Also the seal and spatula are made of Sulapac material. 

A pioneering beauty brand, Yom Beauty, selected Sulapac Solid material for their mindfully designed lip product packaging “The Pebble”. The product inside is the world’s first LipSafe™ lip mask crafted with food-grade ingredients only.

The packaging, inspired by Irish wishing stones, is “designed to fit perfectly into the palm of your hand”. The base is shaped from food-safe glass while the lid and spatula are made from 100% biobased Sulapac Solid material. FaiveleyTech was responsible for developing the closure and the application tool. Development, fine-tuning, and qualification were completed in a very short timeframe, without compromising on quality, demonstrating the teams’ ability to adapt with both efficiency and rigor.

This was the first time FaiveleyTech has developed also a seal made from Sulapac material. Assembled without adhesives nor PE or PP layer, the lid is a mono-material structure, which is designed to support recovery as recycling streams for bio-based materials develop.

“Every part of this product had to meet the same standard, inside the jar and out. FaiveleyTech understood immediately why a lid that sheds microplastics would undo everything we were trying to build. The brand is built on a simple but radical idea: lip products should be safe enough to accidentally swallow.

Sulapac Solid was used here in its natural, uncolored form, revealing a distinctive pearlescent finish. “Sulapac Solid won us over twice: first for its sustainability, then for the soft feel and pearly shimmer it gives to the lid of our Pebble,” says DiGirolamo.
