Easy 3D printing with attractive finish

Sulapac materials for 3D printing, including Sulapac Flow 1.7, can be used as the raw-material in industrial scale fused deposition modelling (FDM) to create prototypes, furniture, molds, decorations, consumer electronics, automotive parts, in fact, almost anything you can imagine. The materials to be replaced with Sulapac Flow 1.7 include PLA, ABS, and PP.

In addition to 3D printing directly with granules, Sulapac Flow 1.7 has excellent properties for filament extrusion. If you are looking for a ready-made filament for 3D printing, you can purchase premium 3D printing filaments made of Sulapac directly from our expert partners.

Sustainable material for industrial scale 3D printing directly from granules

3D printing companies across Europe have tested Sulapac Flow 1.7 with excellent results. Sulapac’s thicker print layers mean faster printing – but without compromising on printing quality.

“We are very proud of our partnership with Sulapac due to the exceptional quality of their materials and their seamless compatibility with our MAGNUM printer.” – Jonas Carlsson, CEO of The Industry Sweden.

SULAPAC FLOW 1.7

Easy to process material with natural look and feel

Sulapac Flow 1.7 has been developed to tackle the global plastic waste problem while ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal. Sulapac ensures a good printing speed and stable quality with easy post-processing.

The material contains 72% USDA certified bio-based content and is safe for both people and the planet: it is industrially compostable according to BPI (ASTM D6400) and leaves no permanent microplastics1 or toxic load behind2. Sulapac Flow 1.7 meets the EU and US FDA requirements for food contact materials3.

The main components are wood from industrial side streams and biodegradable biopolymers. All raw materials are sourced according to a strict sustainability policy and the wood originates from non-controversially harvested forests of Northern Europe. Sulapac Flow 1.7 can be both mechanically and chemically recycled4.

1 Biodegradation of 76% in 420 days in the marine environment ASTM D6691 (86°F/30°C). Not considered biodegradable in California.

2 Ecotoxicity and threshold values for heavy metals tested according to EN 13432. All raw materials comply with the food contact requirements of the EU legislation.

3 Restrictions and specifications of use apply, please refer to relevant Declaration of Compliance for further information.

4 Can be recycled through hydrolysis back to monomers, suitable as feedstock for recycled biopolymers. Chemical and mechanical recyclability has been tested and proven technically feasible by third parties. Field tests have also verified that Sulapac materials can be collected and sorted out of a mixed waste stream. When collected together, Sulapac materials do not interfere with the current mechanical recycling of conventional fossil-based or bio-based non-biodegradable plastics. The technology for chemical recycling of bio-based and biodegradable materials exists, but the infrastructure is still under development.

Eco-friendly 3D printing filaments with premium quality

Sulapac Flow 1.7 can be used to manufacture sustainable premium filament for 3D printing. With Flow 1.7 based filament you print both extremely robust and stable parts as well as light, highly detailed objects.

When modelling with Flow 1.7 standard temperatures apply. In terms of nozzle sizes, choose one that is typically used with PLA filament. Flow rates of 100-110% are recommended.
